A local artist, Taliea Guerrero-Strohmeyer paints vibrant images of Guam's beautiful landscapes, oceans, and elements of our Chamorro culture. A graduate of the Art Institute of Seattle, she was also a former student of mix media art at Accademia Italaia, in Florence, Italy. She has had numerous one-woman and shared exhibitions on Guam at the DFS T Galleria, CAHA, Outrigger Guam Resort, the Nissan Gallery and the Tumon Sands Gallery and was recently commissioned by the Guam Power Authority to create works of art for the Gloria B. Nelson GPA-GWA Multipurpose Building.
Color Guam is her first adventure as a full-fledged business that includes her prints and original artworks. Most recently co-authored, illustrated and marketed Guam's first historical coloring book, "Explore, Learn, and Color Guam". Based on her success, she was awarded a grant from the Guam Unique Merchandise & Arts (GUMA) to translate her coloring book into Japanese to reach our visitor industry.
